Beach Retreat and Lodge located in South Shore, Lake Tahoe embodies all of the best of what the area has to offer – a year-round property with beautiful views, a fantastic beach, great indoor/outdoor options for events and good old-fashion hospitality. The Vixens were lucky enough to have had an invitation to stay overnight and experience first-hand excellent service and all the amenities that Beach Retreat offers. Each of our nautically decorated rooms had a chalkboard with a personalized greeting – fun! This South Shore location is an outdoor lovers’ paradise; your guests will be close to amazing Tahoe attractions like paddle boarding, zip lining, hiking, gambling, shopping and kayaking. Beach Retreat has an expansive beach just steps from the hotel property PLUS the coolest Tiki Hut right there on the beach, boat rentals are available and there is that lovely swimming pool … all this to make your stay enjoyable and entertaining.
If a wedding is what you are planning, imagine a barefoot beach ceremony with the beautiful lake and mountains as a backdrop, and then can be followed with a tent reception (specific times of year for this package). The views of the lake, and the mountain air, will invigorate friends and family to make memories for a life time. The lovely white tent comes equipped with round tables, Chivari chairs, and floor length linen- all arranged by the capable staff! The tent, pine trees and the adjoining patio are nicely lit with strands of market lights for the dance party – romance and fun is all yours. The tent space works well with a headcount of about 150. Should you wish to stay longer with your guests, an “after party” can be arranged by moving everybody into the hotel’s interior space at the fun Sidelines Sports Pub. This Tahoe-chic space has many sports team details, rustic wood furniture, plus a sit-around fireplace… AND a full bar!
If a corporate retreat is what is being planned, spoil your employees with an experience filled with the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. The brand new mountain modern cabin themed conference center is very attractive, and even has a balcony with lake views so attendees can step outside to enjoy mountain air. Options for room sizes, state-of-the-art AV equipment and break-out services are available. Because Beach Retreat & Lodge is a year-round property, the conference center is an excellent option for winter weddings or meetings. This space can accommodate up to 200.
The Boathouse is their on-site restaurant and sits next to Lake Tahoe’s longest pier (so many photo ops!). The Boathouse is an ideal location for a rehearsal dinner, post wedding brunch or team building lunch for about 40 people. We enjoyed a second floor sunset dinner hosted by Beach Retreat and we can attest to the quality of the food.
