Just a quick drive from Sacramento to the El Dorado County wine region brings you to Cielo Estate Winery.  Cielo Estate, in the historic gold country, is nestled on a hillside property dotted with heritage oak trees and tranquil views of vineyards. Mourvedre grape vines border the walkway from the ample parking area to the wedding ceremony lawn.  But the first romantic touch your guests will notice is the large heart rock within the old stone wall that surrounds the estate tasting room.  Nice touch!   The outdoor ceremony area is on a gentle sloping lawn with shade trees and a lovely vineyard view.  A sweet iconic white gazebo holds center stage and can be used as an altar or perhaps a sweet spot for a string quartet.

Nearby is the historic charming Farm House that dates back to the 1800’s. This is a lovely space to hold a rehearsal dinner or  or small private function. The attached deck is great for dinner al fresco. The bride and her entourage can dress and have hair and make-up services in the Farm House. The lighting is wonderful for photos with great sunny windows.

The newly renovated Event Center is conveniently close for a wedding reception or dinner party.  The light wood floors, white walls and black wrought iron light fixtures and ceiling fans are simple and classic. The look lends itself well to almost any color palate and decor.  Plenty of natural light, an open floor plan, and windows with vineyard views are also great assets. The space is complimented by a spectacular, substantial, handcrafted oak bar with mirrors and inset lights. The black granite bar-top allows for plenty of room for appetizers or bar snacks without crowding your bartenders serving from this nicely supported work area. Outside, the spacious wrap-around deck, is facing toward the West and perfect for evening sunsets and pleasant outdoor activities. Market lights and wine barrels compliment the deck space. The commercial kitchen is available to caterers to give the best custom experience possible.

Cielo Estate Winery handles many types of events: weddings, corporate, family gatherings, meetings, and yoga retreats (nice lawn or decks to gather on).  In addition, the Gazebo lawn works well for a small concert or performances, so versatile. You will enjoy this beautiful and well appointed venue with so much to offer your special event.  And for a homework assignment, have fun with wine tasting in preparation of the estate wines you’ll be serving your guests.  Cielo has a choice of 30 grape varietals!
