Located on Del Paso Boulevard just a short distance from downtown Sacramento is the hip and upincoming area that is referred to as The Uptown District, known for its unique businesses and artsy vibe. The early days of Sacramento’s 2nd Saturday started with Del Paso’s Art Walk.   An anchor restaurant and venue is the very well known and established Enotria Restaurant & Bar.

The Venue Vixens were invited to join with other social and corporate planners for a delightful evening starting with sumptuous appetizers and champagne in the romantic Courtyard, a tour of the restaurant space and contemporary wine bar, and ended with dinner in The Loggia – an intimate room where we all sat at one long “Great Table.”  Conversation was lively and the dinner and wine pairing was outstanding.  This is what Enotria does best…private events will be a customized affair, the cuisine focusing on seasonal, fresh and local ingredients with a very clean, visually appealing presentation –  and they have a huge and fantastic wine library to please the most discerning palette.   The service was top notch and our wine server was extremely knowledgeable.

There are various spaces within Enotria to hold your dinner or social event.  Our favorite space was the East AND the West Courtyard – these two areas can be utilized for one large event – either as a strolling cocktail party, or for a lovely outdoor seated dinner.  The previously mentioned Loggia is immediately off the East Courtyard and has windows the full length of the room that open out for a fantastic use of combined indoor and outdoor uses.  However, you can also do a “buy out” and have the entire property which can be designed to create specific vignettes and stations to encourage discovering all of Enotria’s unique offerings throughout the evening.

Enotria means “land of grape vines” or “land of un-trellised grapes” – this name comes from a place on the southern coast of Italy where the Greeks landed on the shore and saw wild grape vines growing as far as they could see.  They named the place Oenotria (the O is silent).  Thus a gorgeous painted mural is displayed at the far end of the Enotria East Courtyard depicting such a view.  With trees wrapped in outdoor lights, potted plants, an ultra-cool water feature, and the sounds of music drifting through… one can be transformed to another time and place.  The romance can definitely be appreciated.

Enotria offers many amenities such as outdoor heaters and AV equipment and will easily arrange for tenting if needed for the Courtyard.
