Harmony Ridge Lodge is located just 5 miles from the historic Nevada City and Grass Valley gold mining towns in Nevada County (just  a short 1 ½ hour’s drive from downtown Sacramento.)  Amazing that one sweet venue in the middle of the woods can check off all the boxes… elegant, refined, private, comfortable, eclectic, homey and friendly.

I had the pleasure of being an overnight guest at the Lodge; which is more than a lodge, but truly an experience.  The Main House and the Lodge Building, plus the gardens and grounds are on 5 1/2 private acres within the Tahoe National Forest.  Serenity envelopes whether strolling the blooming flower gardens, overlooking the grounds and forest from the elevated fabric canopied deck, exploring tomes in the library, sipping wine on a wicker settee within the apple orchard (my personal favorite moment), staring into a roaring fire, or taking a nap in your beautifully decorated guest room.   Have I painted enough of a picture?  For more activity, Harmony Ridge Lodge has a horseshoe pit, hiking trails, mountain biking, horseback riding, wine tasting, and they partner with local businesses to arrange for kayaking on nearby Scott’s Flat Lake.

Holding a wedding on the grounds of Harmony Ridge Lodge would be ideal with the prominent pergola for the ceremony.  Dining outdoors within view of the tower pines and even a small apple orchard can be enjoyed under strands of lights with hanging paper lanterns here and there.  After dinner and wedding cake enjoy dancing on the canopied deck or perhaps snuggle up by the fire pit for a little mountain s’mores indulgence.  Your closest family members or friends (up to 25) can stay at the Lodge and enjoy several days, making this a destination wedding – how wonderful!  So much to do and enjoy in the area, your guests will be thrilled.

For those looking for a venue to hold a corporate retreat, workshop, sales meeting or the like, Harmony Ridge Lodge has convenient rooms for use – the largest such room can hold up to 40.  This conference room has large French doors that look out to the gardens and grounds… it is decorated in a calming manor to be perfect for a yoga or meditation retreat.  Or set the room for roundtable discussions or a lecture.  For smaller breakout sessions, the use of the Main House library, dining or Great Room are ideal.

If considering a winter event, groups of up to 40 would fit nicely within the Main House (imagine a ceremony in front of the handsome fireplace and enjoying the warmth of the intimate well-appointed spaces.) Harmony Ridge Lodge is an all-season venue and worth your consideration!
