Laken Oaks Weddings & Events is a beautiful private park-like venue located in the Northern California rolling hills of Browns Valley. If you are desiring pure nature for your wedding, then look no further. Laken Oaks is an all-outdoor venue with a lovely clear pond that reflects the nearby heritage valley oak trees. Also, birds chirp and sing and the year-round creek babbles and flows along the reception lawn.
Two wedding ceremony spaces are available to choose from: First, Oak Knoll is tucked into the curve of the creek and has natural vegetation encircling the ceremony space (think blackberries, wood sorrel and brambles). Second, Acorn Arch is positioned on lawn alongside the creek. The bridal party is able to stand on a raised platform immediately under the branches of the oak trees. (Note: hanging lanterns or a crystal chandelier from these branches would be fabulous!). We were so excited to learn about the nearby train bell. This beauty came from a vintage train and couples may ring the bell after they are married. Fun!
A lovely curved path leads to the reception lawn. There is plenty of grass and open space to set up dinner tables. Also, a side section could be set as a game area of corn-hole or ladder golf. Nighttime will be magical with the many strands of market lights hung from tree to tree. We imagine crickets and frogs sing in the evening! The owners have designed a great space for a DJ or small combo to be set up, as well as making a permanent dance floor.
In addition, a bridal changing trailer is available for the bride and her ladies. There is also a small fun and funky separate space for the fellas to hang.
Laken Oaks is a must see if you want a celebration in your private outdoor park.
