Tsakopoulos Library Galleria is a landmark in downtown Sacramento. Centrally located across from Caesar Chavez park, the Citizen a Hotel, and walking distance to Capital Park, this classic event venue appeals to all types of events. It seems almost any local you talk with has hosted or attended at least one event in the Library Galleria. Whether it is a prom, a wedding ceremony and reception, a convention, a cocktail party or a fundraising event, this space is versatile for any event and size. Depending on your event, there are three optional entrances for you and your guests. First, entering through the main lobby of the library with its formal marble feel and large glass doors is a wonderful option. Second, the beautiful side entrance off of I Street is grand with its exterior columns and heavy gold metal detailed front doors. This is the old foyer of the original 1918 library. A grand staircase offers a beautiful backdrop to this lobby area. Two side conference rooms are available off of this lobby that offers 1600 square feet of space which can be used in various arrangements. These can also be rented for staging and staffing areas. The third option for an entrance is off of 9th street between the park and the Library Galleria. Immediately outside of this area leaves many options available for creating a grand entrance with the extended sidewalk entry and staging area.

The 5400 square foot main Gallery space is adored by most hosts and party goers. This five story building has vast ceiling space and is flanked by windows on both sides allowing natural light throughout. The dining table arrangements, food stations, and bar placement options are open ended with many arrangements filling the space perfectly. At the ceilings’ peak, Prismatic Coronas, the art installation, is a trio of huge glass and steel rings. This main space can accommodate 425 for a theater style event, 350 for dinner, and additional guests if both the balcony and main gallery space is combined. The balcony is the second story of this beautiful space. The balcony has open sides and is a narrow tier that overlooks the main floor space. This serves as a wonderful cocktail area and vantage point for an event. Portable bars and cocktail tables can be placed in the balcony for great use of the space.

The Tsakopoulos Library Galleria has a built in sound system for events that only require background music and microphone needs for speeches. Drop down screens, projectors and many other technical needs are built right into the space. A stage, podiums, privacy screens/space dividers and fabric draping are also available through the venue. If being in the heart of Sacramento is on the top of your list for your event then add Tsakopoulos Library Galleria to the top of your searches!
