This new Northern California venue is located on 160 acres in rural Yolo County; and it’s a lovely reprieve from the city lights. Zamora Hills Ranch (ZHR) is a country property surrounded by acres of beautiful vineyards (120 acres!) It sits atop a hill with 360 degree views of the
rolling Dunnigan Hills and farmlands. In addition are distant views of the coastal mountain range ~ it’s spectacular!
Also, the photo opportunities are abundant utilizing the beautiful vineyards (yes, you can roam between the rows of planted grapes), as well as the lower eucalyptus grove, and the rolling hills ZHR was built to be a family home and a venue, so the layout and grounds flow perfectly. The areas created for ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and dancing have been well thought-out for weddings and other events. Also, the materials used in the build are reclaimed and repurposed to create a warm and rustic feel. So if you are looking for a natural, rustic outdoor venue, you must see ZHR!
The drive through the rolling hills into the property is impressive and truly lets guests know they are somewhere special. Once they arrive to the parking field they will stroll to the fun Rustic Pavilion. The Pavilion has a custom bar and fun signage and makes for the perfect shady pre-ceremony lounge, as well as your bar area for the rest of the evening. There’s plenty of room here if you’d like to add custom lounge furniture, or use it as-is with the included cocktail barrels and bar stools.
Next, the vast Estate Lawn has a pretty wooden pergola and little water feature, naturally making the perfect ceremony spot. The vineyard views beyond the altar is magical any time of year and the sunset can be enjoyed from every spot on the property! The Estate Lawn is also an option for your dinner al fresco. The rental includes farm tables and chairs for up to 60, umbrellas and additional furniture. The lawn is surrounded by planters and flowerbeds, thus centerpieces need not be elaborate. The rose bushes are stunning, in bloom!
For more intimate wedding dinners or a nice cocktailing spot, we love the Patio Terrace. It is adjacent to the Respite Pavilion and a nice extension of this bar area. Your guests can relax here throughout the evening as it’s right next to, and a few feet above the Dance Terrace. Those that prefer to be spectators to the dance party will have a great view of the dancers, as well as the gorgeous views and sunset. The sunsets are incredible.
The owners of Zamora Hill Ranch are steeped in the Yolo County farming community. The fruit from the farm goes to Matchbook Winery which is owned by close family members. You may choose to serve Matchbook Wine (with a nice discount) at your event to immerse your guests in the Yolo family heritage.
Also included in the venue rental is the use of the Bridal Suite and Groom’s Den in the main house. This is such a convenient and nice amenity. Having this space for pre-ceremony preparation is very helpful. (Note: the house is only to be utilized by the wedding party and vendor staff.) ZHR is located just minutes from Interstate 5 and Highway 505. It’s easy access for those coming from Northern or Southern California, the Bay Area, and the airport.
