American Legion Memorial Ballroom in Lodi, California is a wonderful place for weddings, events, or celebrations. It’s a large venue, hosting up to 400 for a sit-down meal or 650 for a cocktail reception. The Legion Hall also has a wonderful, large stage, perfect for a band or DJ. Alternatively, envision a head table or focal spot for a cake or other decor element. In addition, the wood flooring was updated a few years ago, making for a neutral background which is great for any theme or color addition.

The history of the Lodi chapter of American Legion is impressive. Lodi was one of the first cities in the US to form a chapter of the new veterans organization. The American Legion Post 22 building was erected and opened thereafter. This historical building will be celebrating its centennial in 2023. Previously, it’s been the site of fundraisers and social events, and home to Lodi Musical Theatre and the International Ballet Theatre Institute. In 2021, it was sold and now can be rented as a private venue, while still hosting veteran and community events.

There have been many updates and improvements following the new ownership. Recently, it’s been modernized with hi-tech sound, lighting, and television projection screens. The collection of vintage gold and new modern crystal chandeliers adorn the ceiling and adding wonderful charm. In front of the prestigious building, the front lawn and quiet neighborhood can be setup for a wedding ceremony. Alternatively, the Legion Hall works well as a reception venue following an offsite ceremony.

There are several options for rental furniture as the venue is affiliated with Prime Party Rentals. This is a huge perk as you can select silver or gold chivari chairs with an abundance of other options.  Prime also has decor items and beautiful linens. You can add some lounge furniture to create a nice welcoming area in the foyer.  In addition, in-house catering options are available for ethnic or American food. It’s nice to have full service options to create exactly what you envision!

Make an appointment to see this cool, historical building. You can also see more historical info in the article from the Lodi News. Thank you Wendy from The Freckled Photographer for visiting with us and providing many of these beautiful photos!
