This Amador County venue is described as “Tuscan farmstead” – it is a stunning property for not only weddings, but also corporate dinners, yoga retreats,  family reunions, or any manner of party!  In addition to the vineyards, there are gorgeous rose gardens, and also fruit trees of apple, cherry, lemon and limes (so Italian).  And in keeping with the relaxed and family homey feeling, you are welcome to pick some of the fruit in season. If you wish to feel as if you have been transported to Tuscany, consider Avio Vineyards for your next event.

The first structure upon entering the vineyard estate is the nicely appointed rustic tasting room and sweet courtyard patio. Enjoy your wine on the patio or consider this setting for intimate events; a wedding luncheon perhaps, elopement or bridal shower.

For larger wedding ceremonies consider utilizing the lovely Tuscan estate.  Chairs are set up on the lawn facing the beautiful rolling hills and miles of vineyards, or in this same spot smaller dinners can be enjoyed al fresco.  Strands of Italian markets lights give a festive glow over this lawn area. Perfectly situated redwood trees have been planted to shade the lawn, and just steps away, cocktails and appetizers can be enjoyed around the crystal-clear swimming pool.  The flow for events is ideal.  If your guest count is larger, setting up the dinner or party on the front courtyard is an option – tables encircle a graceful Mediterranean fountain with planted flowers at the base and the beautiful estate is the backdrop with the vineyards steps away.

Owner, Stefano, is a delight to work with; he will advise and handle your rental needs (and the physical set up!), offer information on his preferred catering companies, and assist with Avio wine selections and quantities.

Avio Vineyards is beautiful and relaxing, and fun too, with a small menagerie of animals wondering about – including barn cats, friendly ranch dogs, goats and sheep, chickens, pea hens, ducks and a stunning peacock named Françoise.  It’s so much fun to see a peacock stroll out from under a grape vine without a care in the world!

One of the awesome features about Avio Vineyards is the very cool Carriage House.  This one-room guest lodge (available to the general public as a B&B) is so very perfect for the bride and groom to spend the night after their wedding.  We feel the Western décor is appealing to the men (if they have had enough of the frou-frou of the wedding!); burlap walls, cowhide headboard for the king size bed, leather sofa and a wonderful galvanized pail for the sink.  A lovely breakfast is offered the next morning.  So convenient and wonderful!

Amador County is known for their red wines and Avio Vineyards grows and bottles smooth, Italian-style Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio and a fun wine named Barbed Wire Red.  Additionally, they make two kinds of champagne, one of which is a delicious raspberry champagne,
perfect for serving at the wedding to your wedding guests.  When hosting events at Avio, all wine served is from Avio Vineyards.
