Catta Verdera Country Club in Placer County, outside of Lincoln, CA (about 40 minutes from Sacramento,) is such a pretty venue with rolling hillsides, lush green golf links, and hundreds of valley oaks that speak stability, strength and wisdom. The design of Catta Verdera is

Spanish architecture in the foothills, and truly is one of a kind for the area. Reminiscent of the original California Missions, you may be challenged to find the level of service and inclusions offered anywhere else. The meaning of Catta Verdera is: “Magical Green Place.” We agree!!

Let’s start with the beautiful ceremony site that sits on a hillside overlooking the 18^th green. The curved pathway is parallel to a stream that runs into the pond on the fairway. The site feels private and serene and allows for a full 2-minute walk down the curved aisle to the alter. Most aisles are too short, but not at Catta Verdera! Take in the natural beauty and lock eyes with your intended. Guests sit on natural wood chairs on a lush grassy lawn. The wood arbor can be dressed with any detail and creates a lovely backdrop.

After the nuptials, guests can meander down to the cocktail hour held on the shade covered Veranda. This space has the backdrop of the golf course still, but is set directly off of the ballroom event space. The transitions for events are seamless and well thought out. Varying size cocktail tables, a portable bar, and passed appetizers are all part of Catta Verdera’s inclusive service.

The Veranda is also a wonderful choice for a mid-week small corporate dinner party, anniversary, shower, or birthday celebration. Guests would enjoy the intimacy of this patio space, and throughout the night evening breezes through the arched openings are a delight. Another alternative for a smaller dinner gathering is the light and airy Madelena’s banquet room with the dramatic arched windows looking out to the 18th hole.

The party truly begins when your guests enter the Casa Alegria dining room in the main clubhouse. The arched doorways, stucco interior, accents of paintings showcasing the Spanish hillsides and valleys, exposed tall ceilings with stained wood beams, and the incredible appointed Old World furnishings are all spectacular. Old California history is the feel for this room. The fireplace offers another spectacular backdrop for a sweetheart table, or long bridal party Captain’s Table. Unique 60” square tables spice up any event and the overhead chandeliers add the rustic elegance to complete the space.

An event at Catta Verdera only gets better with a three-course dinner service, and this is standard for the club! Of course, your own wedding cake or dessert table can become a fourth course! Linen color choices are vast, and the varied menu choices, excellent service, and every detail ensured, is what Catta Verdera has built its reputation on. The concept is simple: Catta Verdera has created inclusive packages that contain everything you could dream of for your event. Make your selections and they handle the rest!

Take a golf cart drive on the course for photos – be sure to stop at the gorgeous rock bridges! Or stay close by and use the clubhouse as your backdrop for gorgeous pictures. A rustic Mediterranean inspired hallway, wrought iron wine racks, the stunning fountain, or a rock wall, all play into capturing incredible pictures.

And another perk for holding a wedding at Catta Verdera, are the TWO Retreat Rooms for getting ready. A large over-sized Casita for dressing and services is available that includes changing rooms, seating areas and a patio. Wonderful area for getting-ready photos.
