I have a thing for historical buildings.  To me it indicates that the building was built with quality and has stood the test of time.  There is a richness and uniqueness that is very appealing.  City Winery Napa represents all of what is best about a historical venue.  This downtown Napa building, built in 1879, was originally the Napa Valley Opera House, and now after many months of reconstruction, it is wonderful restaurant, performance hall and special event venue.

This impressive venue will house the cultural mecca of Napa with the perfect blend of both modern and historic. City Winery Napa just opened in the spring of 2014.   The company mantra is “Indulge the Senses”  and this concept is brought to life with wonderful food, wine and music – the perfect trifecta!  We have all been to concerts where the alcohol is poor quality and over-priced and food is nonexistent or inedible.  Can you imagine an experience where all three are in perfect harmony?

If you are planning a corporate event where you need to entertain and impress your guests, the Ballroom is a perfect solution.  If it is a wedding you are planning, think of the beautiful stage as the ideal spot to say your vows.  After, your guests will not be disappointed to celebrate with you in a beautiful open room with polished wood floors for dancing.  The state-of-the-art Meyer sound system can support a wide range of potential needs one may have for their special event.  The Ballroom can hold about 250 seated or 180 for dinner with dancing. The colors are very neutral and earthy and there are many textures with interesting lighting, all unique to the separate spaces within this venue.   The small Private Dining room with a balcony works well for 30 seated.  The Restaurant can accommodate 70 seated; more than 30 wines are available on tap (yes, on tap- the wine barrels come right out from the wall behind the bar!) with 400 additional wine selections from all over world.  City Winery Napa also makes their own beer on site.  And if it is a cocktail you want, they have plenty to choose from.  Many of the local wineries can’t offer hard alcohol because of the winery charters, but City Winery Napa is a restaurant so it does not have this hard alcohol restriction.

This venue has so much to offer and is interesting in so many ways.   The possibilities seem endless.  All of this can be found in the heart of downtown Napa. It’s the place to be!
