Nestled in the foothills of El Dorado County between the historic towns of Coloma and Placerville are the beautiful grapevines and winery of David Girard Vineyards.  It is no wonder why winery weddings and events are so immensely popular – scenic beauty everywhere.  David Girard Vineyards has recently built a lovely event center known as Viticulture Galleria.  The Galleria offers grand interior space with exposed heavy timber trusses and a polished concrete floor. The interior is neutral and will take a wide variety of décor styles and color pallets well. On the west side of the Galleria the large window walls open to a spectacular outdoor covered veranda that overlooks the Viognier, Roussane and Grenache vines and then beyond  to the Coloma Valley and the Sierra Foothills.  The view is nothing less than mesmerizing. Viticulture Galleria is positioned perfectly for guests to witness a spectacular sunset during an evening event, while sipping a fabulous glass of David Girard Rhone style wine. The venue is complete with bride and groom changing areas and also has excellent catering space for food prep.

The winery has a beautiful Mediterranean style tasting room and adjacent patio that is nice for a small event or rehearsal dinner.  The barrel room is great fun for photo ops, as is the very pretty full-of-nature pond just feet away from the tasting room. Additionally, the Tuscan Hilltop is ideal for a wedding ceremony or a small concert as there is a circular platform (a low stage effect) and handsome Italianate pillars form a backdrop.  Views from the Tuscan Hilltop are lovely with large trees adding some shade to the grassy area and this space is ideal for a wedding and reception if a complete outdoor event is your style.  Another outdoor location is the Waterfall Terrace which is positioned above that lovely pond and overlooks the vineyard.  Wine Club members often use this beautiful site to enjoy a picnic, but it can be rented after hours for private use.  David Girard Vineyards has options and all of them are beautiful; treat your guests to a wonderful vineyard experience they shall not soon forget.
