For those of you who are familiar with Doubletree by Hilton located off I-80 and Arden Way just outside of the Sacramento Grid, then you know when I say this is an excellent venue for so many types of functions.  Whether you are a corporate meeting planner seeking convenience, service and experience, or a bride looking for sophistication, upscale design, excellent cuisine and a fun party place, then Doubletree has all you are seeking.

The key word is “versatility” –  would you like a garden setting with rolling lawn, a pond and fountain, babbling brook and a quaint footbridge?  Or a soft white tent just steps from an intricate wrought iron gazebo positioned on a patio surrounded by lawn, flowers and trees?  Even the term “Secret Garden” exists here at Doubletree!  Or, for a more luxurious setting, the Ballrooms are exquisite (and there are multiple ballrooms depending on size needs).  Crystal chandeliers, wall sconces and mirrored inserts enhance the ballrooms, but what I find the absolute best for this hotel property… the floor to ceiling windows!  These ballrooms are NOT “rooms in a box” – the feel of the outdoors is evident, with the California Ballroom having a wraparound balcony looking out over the grounds and tree tops, or the Capitol Ballroom with adjacent patio where an outdoor ceremony may take place within the shade of the trees and next to the flowing stream.  It really is quite nice to have the luxury of both an outdoor space and beautiful ballroom steps apart.

Doubletree has space for any size event and they are widely recognized as a venue that can handle ethnic or cultural weddings.  The Chef is innovative and creative; however, an approved ethnic caterer may provide the meal service at Doubletree if requested.  All staffing, service, china and linens will be handled in-house.  There are smaller rooms for use such as a children’s activity space, or even for a band’s green room.  These smaller breakout rooms are perfect for the corporate meeting needs, as well.

The tag line for Doubletree is so true….. “ Close to everything, but far from ordinary.”  As a destination wedding venue, the property is easily accessed and close to the happenings in downtown Sacramento.  I personally love hotel weddings, as it is fun to hang out by the pool with friends, gather in the central restaurant or the awesome Happy Hour Club, pass each other in the halls or in the fitness center.  It becomes a hub for Party Central!  A morning after brunch could even be held in a great room called Maxis.  What’s not to love about Doubletree by Hilton Sacramento?

Side note… when a guest checks into the hotel, they receive warm chocolate chip cookies that are to die for!  Truly.
