It is very easy for me to rave about this wonderful restaurant venue. I have worked with the Selland family (they have Selland’s Market and the Kitchen as well) for about 17 years and it is safe to say we have done so many events together I can’t keep count. I adore this classic downtown Sacramento venue with its simple sophistication. It embraces style and elegance while making one feel welcomed and comfortable. Every detail of the restaurant exemplifies uniqueness with its sleek and subtle sophistication.  The food on the other hand demands attention.  It ranges from updated comfort food to the most trendy (in a great way) seasonal fare.  It is fabulous and just my style.   It is a perfect special occasion restaurant but also such an inviting, comfortable space you will want to come back frequently.

As a special event space Ella Dining Room & Bar can be used in several conceptual ways. Of course you can buy-out the entire restaurant and enjoy the full space, or there are a number of smaller space options that are available.  I will just mention a few options below, but please contact the very professional staff to discover more about options and flexibility.  The care and management they give to this venue is wonderful… and may I say, I have never seen such perfect, detailed and thorough floor plans which they create based on any need and set up arrangement.

There is a lovely small dining room that seats up to 14 people. It is intimate and charming and absolutely private. Another option is the open “table d’ hote” which can seat up to 13 persons per table (there are two tables for larger groups).  This is quite the restaurant experience – feeling the buzz from the chefs who are preparing delicacies just feet away. Another option is reserving one of the two areas that divide with perfect flowing curtains to feel a bit more private.  It is cozy space for a celebration but the area is not sound proof for livelier parties or events with amplified sound. Don’t overlook the outside patio – it is beautiful!  Imagine the fun during late spring or even autumn when the Sacramento weather is perfect.   I would love to be that very smart hostess to throw a party that wowed my guests – and not break a sweat.

Ella offers some of the finest professionals in the food and beverage and event culture in Sacramento. Not to mention, the outstanding bar. The accomplished bartenders make drinks the way they make their food…only the best with attention to detail.  Ella would be an ideal location for a rehearsal dinner or a special birthday celebration, and for the urban chic sophisticated couple, an ultra cool wedding feast could take place here as well.
