Granite Bay Golf Club is one of the prettiest Sacramento area wedding venue. In addition it’s a well known golfing country club located in the rolling foothills of Placer County, just minutes downtown Sacramento. Not many country clubs can brag that they are one of 64 Audubon Signature Sanctuaries in the world! The wild life that calls Granite Bay Golf Club home is fantastic. There is an entire community of birds that live on the natural lake setting among mature oak trees, rock outcroppings and rolling terrain, but the most evident are the flocks of Canadian geese.
But enough about nature, let’s talk about the flexibility of this property. For those seeking an outdoor garden ceremony, cocktails under a shady portico, and an indoor reception room, this is the place. We also love the fact that Granite Bay Golf Club is somewhat of a “blank palette” in that the garden area can be adorned simply or take on elaborate décor. Likewise, the Conservatory inside is gorgeous adorned in any color. This space is fantastic as-is with the white open-beamed ceiling, but also perfect for hanging fabric swags, floral spheres, or theatrical lighting. The Conservatory doesn’t limit you to a single particular design concept, in fact, it begs for the imagination to run wild.
In the winter months, check our the Colt Room. It’s an indoor room that is rich, romantic, warm, handsome – and has a wonderful fireplace! This room can be used for a ceremony or cocktail space. It also works well if you’d like to host rehearsal dinner at the club.
The grounds of Granite Bay have photo ops at every turn. The newlyweds can be driven via golf cart out to a lovely wooden bridge, or to giant granite boulders, or to locations with the view of the rolling hills or the beautiful country club as the backdrop. And since you’ll be enjoying the golf course setting, do know that Granite Bay Golf Club is a premier Northern California golf club described as “modern classic” designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course has won numerous awards for design.
Let’s not forget to talk about the outstanding cuisine served at Granite Bay; truly unique, fresh, innovative, and delicious… and served by the nicest wait staff around (and we Venue Vixens know a thing about excellent food and good, non-pretentious service personnel). My favorite taste treat is the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and chilled shot glasses of cold milk that can be served later into the party. Fun!
This venue is one that we feel exudes a comfortable, natural ambiance, but has an elegant vibe – all at the same time. Quite a gem.
