Hidden Grove is a country farming venue located in Yolo County and it is truly a hidden gem. Guests will be enthralled with the rural entrance of large 150 year old olive trees flanking the road. Upon arriving at Hidden Grove, heritage oak and sycamore trees shade many areas and give the feeling of permanence and history.
The adjacent field has farm crops that change seasonally for a display of nature’s bounty. This is country life at its best.
Anchoring the property is the charming 1920’s Craftsman style estate house. This gleaming white homestead has been beautifully remodeled, keeping the historic detail but adding modern conveniences and contemporary touches. The estate house holds a spacious bridal changing area with abundant natural light, make-up chairs, mirrors and comfy seating. In addition, there are more rooms which can be used for a kick-back Groom’s Den or for grandparents resting room. Also, an efficiency kitchen with contemporary dining table is handy for champagne and snacks for the wedding party.
On the open lawn at he front of the estate house is where a wedding ceremony may take place. Beautiful trellises are perfectly positioned at the entrance and over the ceremonial alter area. The trellis structures can be adorned with fabric and flowers, or left natural. There is a sweeping pathway with fresh landscaping that include attractive ground cover, shrubbery, lavender plants and lots and lots of white roses.
Next, a natural flow moving from the ceremony area under another trellis to a cocktail hour gathering space. The former old shed structure was renovated to create a fun bar and market lights are strung under the trellis. This spot is perfect for the dance floor with cement flooring and being close to the bar! Steps away is the spacious reception dinner lawn with views of the estate house, the fields, and the old barn. History surrounds. In addition, a grand entrance down the steps from the house or a first dance within the circle of the lavender and white rose garden is lovely.
Photo ops are everywhere – a vintage silo, petite vineyard, barn wood siding, and even a cute rustic hanging bench swing. Additional perks and pluses include: ample parking, on-site tables and chairs, market lights, personal storage areas, attractive trash receptacles (trust me it matters), lawn games, and separate catering access in a barn staging area. And a friendly, professional staff to assist you with booking the venue. You will enjoy the attention to detail and thought put into the renovation at this pristine scenic property!
And, just down the olive tree-lined road is the sister property to Hidden Grove, the well known The Maples. Because of their vast venue ownership experience, many fine features have been incorporated; they have a great eye for architecture, landscaping, and building design.
