We are super excited about this unique venue. It’s a warehouse space that is fantastically designed, and houses a distilling company and restaurant. With 2,000 square feet of open space and an inviting bar, J.J. Pfister is the perfect venue for private parties, company events,
intimate weddings and holiday gatherings. But what we especially envision is an awesome rehearsal dinner space or bachelor party (yes, bachelorette too!).
The Tasting Room has a great vibe with vintage family heirlooms and creative decor. In addition, the adjacent patio has pretty chandeliers that “tinkle” sweet sounds in the breeze. Shade curtains can be lowered for more privacy or to block the late afternoon sun. Restaurant dining is available to the general public on specific days of the week. Also, a complete buy-out of the venue to include the Barrel Room, Patio, and Tasting Room is available. It’s a fun location and perfect for a guest count of about 125 people (for the buy out).
The Private Barrel Room is an air conditioned room with shuttered windows looking into the tasting room. The Private Barrell Room can accommodate 45-
50 guests at sit down tables. Three walls are lined with whiskey barrels that are filled and aging to perfection. No need to wait for these aging barrels since cocktails and craft spirits are available at the bar. Other spirits offered at the well-appointed bar and created by J.J. Pfister are Capitol Gin, Rye Vodka, American Single Malt Whiskey, Navy Strength Rum, Apple Brandy, Drakas and Eau de Vie – as well as two premium whiskeys, High Rye Bourbon and Rye Whiskey too.
Handsome brick walls, industrial ceilings, market lights, a beautiful communal table, wood tables and wood/metal bar stools and chairs complement this urban venue. The collection of photographs and historical memorabilia is fascinating. Read the story here of how the J.J. Pfister Knitting Company came to be a state-of-the-art craft distillery. The J.J. Pfister story spans more than 170 years. And you may add a distillery tour during your event as a special touch!
We were impressed with their concept of “Farm to Fork to Fields to Food.” J.J. Pfister Distilling is community and service minded. Furthermore, the spent grain or fruit by-products derived from the spirit making are not tossed, but instead are taken to cattle farms and a “farm shelter” to be given as nutritional food for farm animals. How cool is that? And lastly, at the onset of the Covid-19 virus emergency, J.J. Pfister quickly pivoted to develop WHO-approved hand sanitizer to meet the needs of local health care workers, firefighters, police, and other essential businesses. Bravo!
