Miner’s Leap Winery is a wonderful 26-acre wedding and music venue “park” located along the Sacramento River only about 15 minutes from downtown Sacramento. We reference “park” because this property is so well manicured, it will make you envious and want to immediately start working on your own home gardening projects! Adjacent to the lawns and gardens is the awesome Miner’s Leap Barn, which is a historic building, approximately 115 years old and once was a livestock barn. You’d sure never know it now as it is beautifully decorated and set up as a well-appointed winery tasting room. With polished cement floors and a handsome rustic chandelier, the barn doors roll back on two sides for views West to the coastal range or out to a landing (almost like a stage) which overlooks the gardens. Within the Barn gardens is a sweet hidden rose garden which could be perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony for about 25 guests. The main gardens are multi-leveled with patio seating, open lawns surrounded by stone walls or rock flower beds and can be used for a larger wedding ceremony and reception of about 100 guests. Placed around the gardens and barn are fun antique artifacts and metal works made by local Clarksburg artists that add visual interest. Miner’s Leap Winery even has some lawn games such as corn hole, kerplunk, tic-tack-toe or Yardtzee for your guests’ amusement. The barn landing and the gardens are perfect for an outdoor cocktail party, birthday gathering, shower, retirement dinner or lovely wedding ceremony and reception.

For a larger headcount event, consider the Gardner’s Grove which can hold up to 400 guests! Facing West and the farmland views toward the coast range, we can only imagine how fantastic it would be having a glorious sunset to gaze upon. If having a large headcount for a wedding ceremony, there is a great stage and plenty of room for guest seating, PLUS room for tables and chairs for dinner. The Grove is also a perfect place to hold your dance band for a rockin’ party. With string lights, many overhead shade sail cloths, fountains and firepits, this open-air lawn and patio is a wonderful venue to enjoy the evening breezes. Currently (2018) they are holding their “Music Under the Stars” concert series. Check out their website to find out the lineup and schedule (May through September).

Some of the bonus features are Miner’s Leap Winery staff will set up tables and chairs, there are parking attendants available (good idea for those larger headcount events), there is a two-room cottage for bridal dressing, and the Barn Tasting Room and Gardens are dog friendly! Yes!! At the present time off-site catering is allowed (with prior approval and proof of insurance) and the minimum order for up to 100 guests is three cases of Miner’s Leap Wine.
