Niemuth Manor is located in historic Gold County in Calaveras County. You’ll enjoy the beauty of the rolling countryside as you take the driveway past acres of vineyards. The estate is magnificent with 24 acres of natural splendor, vineyards, rock outcroppings, and a gorgeous 5-acre lake. The property is vast and you will be enamored by the various backdrops for your photographs. We love it all, especially the charming weathered wood dock over the lake!
The options for your celebration are many. Walking through a natural flow of an event, there are convenient spots where guests can relax, grab a beverage, drop off a gift and visit with friends. As they move around the lovely Vineyard House, they will first arrive at the shady Welcome Patio. The Welcome Patio includes great views of the pool, dock, and lake. Just beyond the Patio is the Pool Deck, both natural spots for pre-ceremony lemonade or a bubbly greeting.
Next, continuing around the Vineyard House, your guest will arrive at the Grand Lawn. The lawn can accommodate up to 250 for a ceremony. This location is slightly elevated above the lake for beautiful views. For a smaller group, move down towards the lake and have an intimate ceremony for 30 right along the shoreline. A variety of trees (Poplar and Valley Oak) plus water reeds and cattails along the lake edge, create the naturally beautiful landscape.
Adjacent to the Grand Lawn is the Cocktail Grove which includes a stationary wooden bar and wine barrel tables. The market lighting installed in the trees provides ambience as the sun sets. In fact, the entire venue glows with perfectly placed lighting all night! Additionally, in the Cocktail Grove, there is a professionally installed misting system if needed for warm afternoons or evenings.
Last on your route you will find The Manor Tent. It’s a nice choice for dinner and dancing, although either or both of these can be done under the stars. The tent is filled with chandeliers and market lighting, yet a blank canvas for you to add your desired tables and chairs to create your style. The tent offers an elevated view out over the lake that is serene and stunning.
The Vineyard House has a gorgeous Getting Ready Suite with plenty of mirrors and natural lighting for photos. Additionally, there’s the Basement Parlor with a bar, plenty of comfy seating, and game tables – so fun for the wedding party. Did we mention that the Vineyard House is an Airbnb including 5 sleeping rooms (up to 10 can sleep here). Book the house for your wedding weekend and create lifetime memories, or add a few extra days for a bridesmaid lunch, rehearsal dinner, or Afterglow Brunch!
There are so many fun extras available on property such as a vintage carriage, antique trucks, canoes, and more inventory is added regularly! They even have glamping opportunities on property with 4 white canvas Glamping Tents available for rental.
We feel Niemuth Manor would be the perfect venue for a yoga retreat due to its natural setting, birds chirping, frogs croaking, and restorative setting. Also, this venue is a great destination wedding location as it is minutes from charming Angels Camp and historic Murphys. There will be plenty of activities for your guests to enjoy a weekend to remember!
