NEED TO UPDATE SINCE NAME CHANGE

Can we just say “Wow”…what a wonderful place.  Centrally located in the quaint town of Sonoma (quite close to the town square),  Ramekins is perfect to host a destination wedding or group function…and the locals can be proud that this treasure is right in their backyard.  Ramekins offers so much right on site.  Everything revolves around food, local ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes.  Add to this a lovely ceremony, reception, or party location and some lush accommodations and you have Ramekins Culinary School, Events and Inn.  We Vixens agree that you can host your entire weekend here and no one would have any desire to go elsewhere.

With the onsite culinary school there is perfect opportunity to have a unique rehearsal dinner, with either some hands-on learning during a private cooking class or a presentation dining experience.  This can be enjoyed in one of the two upscale state-of-the-art classrooms right inside the Inn…and you can continue with cocktails and dancing at the French inspired Courtyard adjacent to the Inn.  As the region is known for it’s wine, it would be expected that there would be some excellent wine pairing during every meal.

The Courtyard is  beautiful and a perfect place to unwind and relax.  There is also a fully stocked bar, an overhead canopy so your guests are shaded, and lush wisteria vines and flower beds surrounding. The back Courtyard has a custom designed iron arch and limestone fountain, just beckoning a wedding ceremony. It also boasts a woodfire oven perfect for late night pizzas and an outdoor gas fireplace, making for a great late night cigar and port station.  The patio is surrounded by a European-inspired stone wall, making it your own private sanctuary.

There are multiple options for cocktails and dinner including the Courtyard and the private ballroom.  The ballroom has an oak beamed, vaulted ceiling and iron chandeliers, classic and elegant, without being too feminine.  There is a magnificent wood bar and at one end a stone fireplace.  This space can also be used for the dancing, which means an extra hour of dancing beyond the outdoor sound ordinance time – Party!

A Saturday event requires rental of the 6 suites in the Inn, all appointed with French antiques collected by the proud owners and designed with love and attention to detail.  Breakfast is also included for those staying at the Inn and we can attest to this feast…it’s really lovely.  You also have the option of inviting back some wedding guests and having a brunch or luncheon, perhaps with some local wine tasting, making for a proper send off and ‘After Glow’ gathering.

The staff at Ramekins strives to make this a home away from home for their guests.  The rammed-earth walls control the humidity and they feature recycling and water conservation programs throughout the Inn and property.  Beautiful food theme paintings grace the walls of the Inn.  This is a special place that you will want to visit year after year…a place to make memories.
