Nestled in the trendy dining section of the Roseville Galleria in Placer County, stands Ruth’s Chris Steak House.  Often times there are social events or wedding receptions where dancing is not the focal point and it’s more about the conversation… and the FOOD!  This restaurant is a perfect choice for that scenerio. One of the best rooms at Ruth’s Chris Steak House is the Atrium which can be set in a number of configurations including seating at rounds for about 60 people.  It has a Southwest facing wall with a good amount of natural light. The burnt orange fabric drapes are able to darken the room if desired but when open, add rich texture. The decor has a contemporary rustic feel with slate floors and rock walls and columns.  High ceilings and substantial furnishings add to the room ‘s character along with a lovely stone fireplace.  For a special event, very little is required to make the space feel inviting and special.  The Venue Vixens were hosted to lunch with some other event professionals this spring. We enjoyed the wonderful dining experience as we sat at a long King’s table.  The table was expertly set with classic white linen and heavy silverware as you would expect from a fine dining establishment. The meal was served on pretty square, white plates and other shapes and sizes selected specifically for the items served. For this lunch there were about 14 seated but the room could easily accommodate  50 in the same style.  If a smaller event with AV is what you are after, then the Roseville Room may be the perfect choice and it is equipped with a permanent screen and LCD projector.

If fine dining, great service, and beautiful atmosphere with very little effort on your part is what you are looking for,  then look no further.

And for a bit of trivia, let’s discuss the restaurant name, which has always confused me so let’s clear up that mystery.  There is an interesting, longer version  found on the website but the short version is…the owner, Ruth Fertel long ago purchased a Chris Steak house in New Orleans. After a very successful operation it burned down.  The contract  prohibited another steak house to open with the same name so…. down the street from the location (that went up in smoke) she opened Ruth’s Chris Steak House to avoid any contractual issues. Now you can find Ruth’s Chris restaurants across the United States.
