Memorial Auditorium is a landmark in downtown Sacramento. I am always in awe as I pass by the gorgeous columns at the main entrance of the building, and really any angle of this one block building built in 1927, is incredible. If you’ve ever seen the columns lit at night you know what I am taking about. If you have been lucky enough to catch an important speaking engagement, or see your favorite band (Rolling Stones and many others) have performed here, or maybe even have a milestone celebration in this building, I am sure it was unforgettable.

If you think this building is just a pretty space that only holds large events, think again. When designed correctly, Memorial Auditorium has the ability to comfortably seat 500 or intimately seat 75 for a private event on the main floor. The hydraulic hardwood floor can be manipulated for amp theater seating or level for any event. Did I mention hardwood floors?! Choosing a space for your event where you do not need to compete with the vibrant carpet, but instead have a light wood toned floor, plaster art décor ceilings, tiered circular overhead chandeliers, intricate carved details, Palladian windows, and brick walls makes for incredible ambience and décor without doing much extra.

Renting, even the largest space at Memorial, is an incredible value and includes chairs, tables, in-house catering options, full bar service options, and many affordable or inclusive additions such as in house theater quality lighting, varied color stage curtains, and hundreds of feet of pipe and drape to make your event more dramatic.

Memorial Auditorium offers smaller, more intimate or pre-event spaces; starting with a main entrance greeting or pre event cocktail space which is set off by its detailed wood ceiling beams, and historial detail of country flags and references to wars and military campaigns.  The Little Theater and wrap around main hallway offer more variety for event spaces to this large building. The Little Theater is a great ceremony option with 250 seats and a small main stage. The entrance to the theater has an original ticket booth counter where programs could be dispersed to your guests.

Let your creativity run wild as the Memorial is the perfect backdrop for any style event and theme. You will get the luxury of working closely with the catering staff at Classique Catering to bring your event to life!
