This amazing East Sacramento midtown venue in unlike any other we have ever encountered. It is both a special event venue and a conference compound. It’s hip, trendy, historical, technologically superior, and just a very cool environment. Sequoia at the Cannery opened in 2018. However, the collection of brick buildings was formerly Libby, McNeill & Libby fruit and vegetable packing cannery from the early 1900’s.

The Sequoia has several spaces within their walls. Upon entering is the Lounge,featuring the historic brick walls and polished original concrete floors, with vintage photos of Sacramento. The Lounge has an open industrial loft feeling; juxtaposed are both historical and modern qualities. Sophisticated yet subdued colors and striking textures blend harmoniously with luxurious furnishings to create a rich and inviting environment. A built-in bar made of a live-edge redwood slab compliments the décor perfectly.

The ultimate in hospitality and atmosphere.  Impress your guest with a customized plated meal that fits the theme of any event. ⁠ Chef Aimal Formoli can make it happen! As one of Sacramento’s top premiere chef-driven event spaces, your expectations will be exceeded with every bite. ⁠  A demonstration dinner for 20 to a cocktail party for 150 will fit in the space nicely.  Your guests will enjoy the comfortable surroundings, a wood shuffle board table, and pool table. In addition, monitors are mounted in strategic locations and it’s equipped with many AV technologies.

There are two adjacent rooms to the Lounge space that can be utilized. These work well for a breakout space, buffet, photo booth, or another fun activity ~ the options seem endless! Next is a small glass sided conference room for serious deal making, discussions, or business needs. It can also be an expanded space to the main lounge area.

Again the AV technology on site is tremendous at the Sequoia. Packages are available with on-site support. The Sequoia’s close proximity to downtown, the services provided are greatly appreciated and sought after. If looking for a venue that is “out of the ordinary” for either a social event or for a corporate function, the Sequoia at the Cannery could check all your boxes.
