This Northern California venue is like no other. Sierra Banquet Center is a respite away from the city, yet only an hour from the Sacramento airport. How wonderful to have your own private lodge in the mountains for a day or weekend! It is a great spot for a destination wedding, being so near
Apple Hill, and so many other fun outdoor activities. This venues is wonderful with indoor and outdoor wedding and dinner options!
Since you have the entire property for your event, you have many choices on how to hold your celebration. We love the Log Amphitheater for the ceremony. There is a raised wooden pergola with room for a large bridal party. And you may also rent the Honeymoon Lodge for getting ready and overnight. \It has 2 balcony decks, giving you an excellent vantage point to see your guests arrival and the Reception Lawn set-up. We love a ‘sneak peak’.
The Main Lodge is an original two-story log cabin transported in pieces from Wisconsin. It’s accented with stonework, including the grand stone fireplace and chimney and impressive wood beams overhead. The lodge is spacious, allowing for indoor events as well as the outdoor spaces. There are two fireplaces, one inside the lodge, and the second on the outdoor patio. The patio fireplace is a lovely backdrop for an intimate ceremony, welcome patio or food stations. The beautiful indoor bar is topped with a huge slab from a massive local tree!
The Reception Lawn is adjacent to the Main Lodge and surrounded by beauty so decor can be minimal. The Sierra pines offer many shady spots and there are terraced patios, which work perfectly for cocktail hour space and an outdoor dance floor. Off to the side is the lily pond, fed by a small waterfall which lends to the tranquility of the location. It’s a lovely view out the Main Lodge windows to the lawn festivities.
There are so many gorgeous spots at Sierra Banquet Center for photography with the beautiful, natural landscaping. There are also gardens and blooming flowerbeds, winding pathways, and the fabulous trees. The Main Lodge has a few rooms available for overnight accommodations, as well as the Honeymoon Lodge. What fun to make it a weekend wedding!
