The hush (which almost never happens) took over as we made the final turn into Silverthorn Meadows. It was our first stop on a hot day in July. You can see the manicured lawn and beautiful pond from the upper road which is a teaser for what is to come. A few stretches later we left the confines of the car. We were lucky enough to have our tour with Terry, the owner. He claims to know little about how his wife, Wendi, runs things, but this isn’t at all true. I am sure he can take most of the credit for the perfect landscape around the property and clearly knows a thing or two!

This ideal venue offers a perfectly green, lush lawn, nicely placed floral beds, accent arbors, and a touch of overhead twinkle lighting. Vendors will appreciate what has been considered for catering needs and ease of service for a perfectly timed event. Each detail has been thought through by the caring owners, Terry and Wendi. They pamper their brides with a comfortable dressing room stocked with chilled waters and a direct phone line to them (cell service can be spotty).

The special touches catch your eye right away. From the drink holder on the park bench swing, to the soft spray of the fountain in the pond, to the lit chandelier over what would make the perfect cake arbor. This 12,000 square foot lawn area is perfectly situated to take advantage of the shade cast from the outlining trees. The edges of the space are surrounded by  tall pine trees as far as you can see. Accommodating a comfortable 150 guests, a ceremony can flow into the cocktail space and then right to dinner. The uphill parking lot is plentiful, and an enjoyable golf cart ride is arranged to bring guests from the parking lot down to the pond area. The restrooms are basic portables, but arrangements can be made to upgrade to a double-solar trailer. If you are looking for a garden setting in the foothills with the sound of birds and a light breeze, look no further.
