Taber Ranch is a dream come true. It was established in 1867 and is still owned and operated by members of the family! It’s perfect for an exclusive, one-of-a-kind wedding, company retreat or celebration. Taber Ranch Vineyard & Event Center, in the beautiful Capay Valley, offers an out of the norm experience for events.
The entrance is a meandering county road surrounded by trees, grape vines, olive groves and the rolling hills. The detailed iron gate invites you into the vineyards, past the Tasting Room, and along the road to the Event Center where a greeter welcomes each guest. Plenty of parking allows for a variety of styles of events. Then each guest is invited to walk the garden path that leads to the barn, pond, and hilltop. Additionally they may hop in one of their shuttle vans for a quick ride to the barn.
Weddings at Taber Ranch begin at their hilltop ceremony site where guests are treated to a 360 degree view of the beautiful surrounding valley and terraced vineyards. The hilltop is complete with power for DJ’s, a large shade structure, and bottled water. Guests walk up a shaded pathway that leads to the hilltop or shuttle vans are also available to assist in getting guests to the ceremony site.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds can take photos with the cool vintage bright red Cadillac. Meanwhile, guests make their descent to the 90-year-old barn for cocktail hour and appetizers. The venue has a fountain lounge, fire pit deck and lawn game area for guests to enjoy. Next, they are escorted to a bistro lighted dinner on the lawn as night falls with stunning valley sunsets and the glow of the barn as a gorgeous backdrop. Finally, the barn gets its time to shine! After dinner guests head back to the barn to dance the night away under twinkling lights and rustic chandeliers.
In addition, there are options if you are looking to host your rehearsal dinner or any party on property. The Tasting Room & Terrace are indoor and covered spaces available year-round. Also, there are two very cool intimate outdoor spaces: the Olive Grove or Begonia Garden.
Another highlight to this venue is their unique bridal changing space – in a vintage International Bus equipped with AC, water, and a sweet little patio.
