What a find!  One of the most hidden and unique venues we’ve come across in quite a while.  The Lincoln, accommodating a limited number of exclusive events, is perfect for an elegant soiree.  It is managed and operated by Black Pine Catering & Eventing and located on a side street in downtown Woodland, CA.  Lovely landscaping, thick flower beds and mature trees hide the building that holds this treasure, but once parked and standing in front of this impressive structure, please look up.  Check out the awesome roof line and notice the chimneys that are designed and shaped after chess pieces!  I loved that!!  The massive wood and wrought iron front door with walls of stone and brick give the visitor the feeling of entering a Medieval dwelling.  Once inside the Abbey Atrium, the transformation is evident with the focal wall made of stone from the cobbled streets of an old French village and the gleaming wood floors from an Abbey in France; an open beam ceiling with multi-tiered wrought iron chandelier compliments this space.  The Abbey Atrium can be a dining space or  an intimate wedding may be held in front of the stone wall.

The second room available for use is the Gold Room.  Exquisite crystal chandeliers hang from a gold dusted ceiling, and thick rich drapery fabric hang from paned windows.  One end of this space showcases a well appointed and gorgeous demonstration kitchen – which if desired may be closed off, but we feel is awesome on display.  The Gold Room may be used for an elegant dinner or for the dance celebration.  Just outside through the French doors of the Gold Room is a lovely patio space with a large fireplace, columns and stone benches.

But wait, there is more to The Lincoln… at the far end of the Gold Room is the 1930’s inspired Club Room and Pub.  One of the venue’s four prominent stone fireplaces anchors the room with its cherry wood-paneled walls, thick Mansour Rug, handsome black leather furniture, and beautiful displays of antique decorative pieces.  The intimately sized Pub is a Man Cave of Man Caves!  Richly appointed, interesting signs and wall art, and no bar detail left undone.  One of those impressive stone fireplaces is in the Pub along with a perfect poker table.  What’s not to love?

We thank Sam with Red Sneaker Studio for being with us on this site visit and capturing the elegance, grandeur and details of this venue.
