Valley Hi Country Club, Elk Grove, CA

This quiet gem of a location is quite a secret.  Even though Valley Hi is a private golf and country club, on a regular basis wedding and social events are held at this oasis. The golf course setting with its manicured and lush lawns, abundant trees, lovely flower beds and large serene lake, feels more like a park than a traditional country club.  We were impressed by the enchanting mature Weeping Willow tree next to the lake and as an added bonus, a flock of Canadian Geese were lazily swimming about.  We also heard rumor that several swans make the course lakes their home.  It’s perfect!

The Vixens love that the Club has “movement”…meaning a wedding ceremony could be held lakeside, move to an enclosed courtyard for the cocktail social, and then flow to the windowed Garden Room for the dinner service and dancing.  Additionally, Valley Hi offers a patio area with a stunning contemporary slate fire pit with circular seating for snuggling, or even to enjoy a Port and Cigar Bar.

For those who love the beauty of a tent, Valley Hi has a large courtyard patio for easy tent placement with the convenience of the Club’s indoor restrooms and handsome bar.

We appreciate that Valley Hi Golf Club is ideal for an outdoor wedding ceremony with interior space for the dinner reception.  For those unnerved by unpredictable weather, the entire ceremony and dinner can be held indoors (keeping the headcount to around 150). So, bad weather? No problem!  The staff at Valley Hi understands flexibility and is happy to accommodate.  An onsite coordinator is available to run the rehearsal, or you can bring in your own event planner to team with the venue.

The Vixens enjoyed a fantastic lunch with Denise, the Event Coordinator, and we can attest, first-hand, that our plates were beautifully presented and the food was dee-lish!  As Denise toured us around, she also showed us the very spacious and well equipped changing room, which by day is the member’s locker room, but becomes available to the bride and her entourage for dressing.  Very convenient.

We determined the Vixen Value at this property the fact that your party and music can run until midnight as there is no sound ordinance to this area.  Very appealing to those party-people!
