Baker & A Black Cat ~ Welcome Vendor Spotlight!
We are excited to announce a new Vixen Vendor, Baker & A Black Cat. This is a cottage bakery located near downtown Placerville, owned and operated by Nikki Ozawa. She grew up in Placerville, but moved away for college and grad school. Thereafter, she found her true calling and lucky for us, it was baking!
Nikki graduated with high honors from Le Cordon Bleu in patisserie and baking. Following, she worked in the production bakery at Epcot, Walt Disney World. After this great experience, she returned to Placerville to open her own bakery. From elegant wedding cakes to individual desserts, working with both buttercream and sugarpaste, Baker & A Black Cat offers a myriad of cake, filling, and buttercream flavors.
Nikki’s passion for baking and her unique personal touches have led to her cakes making appearances on Style Me Pretty, Wedding Chicks, and Hey Wedding Lady; as well as being honored as one of the Top Ten Wedding Cake Bakers in the Greater Sacramento area.
If Nikki isn’t baking, you might find her snuggled up next to her not-black-but-orange cat Gambit, reading a book, or enjoying tater tots with friends at one of her favorite local eateries! Check out the website for more info!
