A private lunch on a private river island
Recently, Facebook popped up with a memory from a few years ago that made us want to pull out more photos and show off what fun we had creating a lovely natural/organic table for the catered lunch we enjoyed on a private island in the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Delta. It was windy, but refreshing. We enjoyed working with a riparian tablescape that “spoke” the setting. The use of rock, frogs, moss and fiddle fern were used for the centerpiece displayed on a vintage wood table set with lots of glass (we loved the green salad plates and green water glasses). Thank you Allison Stahl Photography for capturing. The wine was dee-lish, the food wonderful, and the mood was happy and relaxed. Unfortunately, this private island is no longer operating as a wedding or party venue. Too bad. Quite the unique location.
