Fire evacuees hold their wedding at Historic Oakdale Ranch!
We all have heard of the recent terrible fires in Napa/Sonoma (and many other places) and how couples who had planned for their wedding to take place in the region were displaced due to the smoke, emergency personnel and road closures. With just three days until Lindsay and Chris’s wedding, the couple learned that their venue, a winery located in the Napa valley, was forced to close due to the proximity to the fires.
Historic Oakdale Ranch , located in Yolo County, stepped in as their new wedding venue, and all of the couple’s previously secured vendors and some new ones, worked to pull off a stunning wedding in less than three days! Thankfully the family had all the personal detail items that could be transported to their new location. Holding the ceremony outdoors in the shade of a heritage pine tree, and then holding their dinner reception inside the large warehouse barn worked perfectly. Here are a few photos of the team that quickly worked to pull this lovely wedding together. I think you would agree that Lindsay and Chris were very happy with the change in venue – right?? Way to go gang!
