Love the barn wood at Historic Oakdale Ranch
Saturday was a crazy weather day for a drive in the country to Yolo County. The Historic Oakdale Ranch was hosting an open house – rain or shine – and so we went for a visit to see all that owner, Brent Stephens, has done to the inside of the huge barn. We love all the wood he has added to the side walls – these are real packing crates! Plus there is a moveable room divider of wood slates to somewhat change the size of the space – 80 guests, no problem. 200 guests, no problem. If you’re looking for a party or wedding venue that is on an actual working farm, consider Historic Oakdale Ranch. There are options as to where to hold your wedding ceremony, such as in the walnut orchard, or in front of a weeping willow tree next to a pond, or on the grounds of the historic homestead.
