Sienna Restaurant
Sienna New American Grill located in El Dorado Hills, California, is a treasure not to be overlooked! Mediterranean architecture, rustic stone work, Old World tiled roof and warm color tones with textures and fabrics, will transform the visitor to a far away country. The property has everything going for it – the setting is rich and luxurious, while feeling very comfortable. The menu selection is luscious, the beautiful bar is well stocked, and the private banquet spaces are varied and nicely arranged and appointed. There are actually a total of eight event spaces within Sienna. From the intimate Chefs Table in the biggest kitchen I have ever seen, to the Garden Terrace with a prominent inviting fireplace, enclosed with a trellis and surrounded by trees – the options seem endless for this lovely outdoor space. The eight private dining spaces to choose from vary from 10 to 200 people and are all worthy of much praise. Sienna will create a fantastic menu if you wish to hold a bridal luncheon or a fantastic rehearsal dinner. We particularly enjoyed the look and feel of the Cinnamon Room which can hold 28 guests, as it has a focal indoor corner fireplace and even a demonstration kitchen. This room leads out through double doors to the Garden Terrace, which is the largest of the spaces and perfect for a wedding and/or reception. The trellis is covered with wisteria which blooms beautifully in mid-spring. Decorating and personalizing the Terrace by utilizing the overhead trellis would be stunning – strands of Italian market lights, fabric swags, perhaps a hanging chandelier or candles enclosed in glass… perfect in this setting. Sienna also offers stylish courtyard furniture (at no extra cost!)
The owners of Sienna are the warm and gracious Karoline and Mark Platt, who are experienced restaurateurs for over 26 years (and happily married for much of that time)! They are engaging and treat their guests as friends. Many of the staff have been with the Platts for years and the confidence they have with their staff is obvious and earned. Consider this beautiful property for any type of social, a rehearsal dinner, or wedding reception… it will remind you of a fabulous Napa winery without the high price tag.
We enjoyed the company of Sam Wood with Sharpe Photographers; thanks for these shots (a couple are off the Sienna website).
