The cool 1957 Chevy Bel Air at Historic Oakdale Ranch
Historic Oakdale Ranch is a wonderful country venue located outside Esparto, Capay Valley in Yolo County. As an added touch to your wedding, the owner of the Ranch, Brent, will provide his classic 1957 Chevy Bel Air car for photo ops and to drive the bride for her ceremony entrance . Fun!
Brent has owned this car for many, many years (back when he was a young lad!). Here is his story, in his words, as to the acquisition and early years journey of this beauty.
“I purchased my ’57 Chevrolet Bel Air in 1987- 36 yrs ago – in parts. The body was in a barn since the 1970’s sitting on 55 gallon barrels. I moved the body and frame across Hwy 16 to our family ranch from my cousin Doug’s old ranch. A broke college student at the time, I saved up $550 (the asking price) by working summers to purchase it, and another 1957 ex gasser car in parts that was part of the package deal. Finally completed the frame restoration in 1995. One piece at a time and lots of hours it was back on the road again….”
